Where Do You Belong?
People at this age demand a lot of new things such as equipment, materials, food, clothing, ideas, etc. This is because they tend not to satisfy themselves of what they have but rather wants more of what they don’t. They tend to do things for themselves to attain their personal goal. This led to what people call individuality.
People show up their personality in different ways. Gangsters show up their styles with authority. They wear loose shirts, loose pants, and sometimes a hoody and the ever popular bling-bling. Much different from those of the Gangsters, Emo Kids hide their faces with their long one-sided hair wearing their body fitted shirts and skinny jeans. They often put makeup and black eyeliner.
On the other hand, the members of the gothic subculture dress as dark and sometimes as morbid as possible. They wear black clothes and sometimes having a skull cufflinks and the famous Ruby Eye Vermeil Skull Cufflinks. Punks are no different; they wear their own type of clothing to make their statement. The common punks wear denim, chains, and combat boots. They often have spiky and Mohawk type of hair.
Executives dress differently, wearing just plain coat and a dress shirt with gold cufflinks. To show their intellectual persona, Geeks wear rectangular glasses and braces. Geeks are often bullied because of their weak nature but behold these geeks could be our future geniuses.
Individuality is very common in our society particularly in a democratic nation. Others refer to this as the basis of a person’s personality.
