Special Wedding Souvenirs for Special People
Weddings are very special events not only for the bride and groom, but also for their respective parents, their entourage and their guests. Without family and friends who have agreed to contribute both time and effort, sometimes even money, transforming the wedding into exactly the one which the bride had dreamt of would probably not have been possible.
Given the special participation of the sponsors, among others, it is customary for the bride and groom to prepare special tokens of appreciation to those who have played special roles during the planning and execution of the wedding of her dreams. Sterling silver cufflinks are traditionally given to the sponsors. However, to fit a particular wedding theme such as “night at the movies”, it is a good idea to follow the theme by giving film reel cufflinks instead to the usual plain diamond ones. Career related cufflinks would also give an impression of you going out of your way to find something unique for your sponsors.
Of course, these token gifts are not as necessary as the other aspects of the wedding that need to be clarified, programmed and budgeted. You are also not required to give anyone anything. Nevertheless, it is seen as a sign of courtesy and respect to at least have each principal sponsor take home something to allow them to feel the couple’s gratitude. The souvenir should also be something that will remind the guests of the couple’s love for each other as well as of the couple themselves.
