What’s not to love about the Oregon Ducks? The Oregon Ducks hold a special place in the hearts of Oregonians. Naturally that depends on one’s point of view. If you happen to be an Oregon State Beaver alumni or student you probably have your own reservations. Oregon has no real national football team, nor do they have a national baseball team, but they two have two hyper-competitive schools that will cheer each other on until the day comes when they have to play one another. The most prestigious event in this case is the Oregon/Oregon State Civil War Football game. Played every year at the end of the regular season by both teams, the Civil War is one of the oldest games played in the country, meeting at each team’s home venue every year for 113 games. Currently, the Ducks hold the lead in the most Civil Wars won, but the Ducks are also known particularly for their field and track. The legendary Prefontaine made his mark there, along with Bill Bowerman, one of the co-founders of Nike. On top of all that they’ve got Disney’s Donald Duck as their mascot! If you’re an alumni, or a student, or you’re just a fan of Oregon sports, you can show your support for Oregon athletics with Oregon Ducks Cufflinks. These silver cufflinks feature the yellow and emerald “O” symbol that has become a Pac-10 and NCAA icon. And if you’re just a general Oregon fan, there are Oregon State cufflinks available among other NCAA Cufflinks so that you can show your support for Oregon State. Just so long as they aren’t playing the Ducks, of course.
