Traveling the Light Fantastic

cufflinks silk knots formal large 02 Traveling the Light FantasticWhen it comes to fashion, women have more choices than men. Just take a trip into the department stores and the whole mall, almost every item and boutique is made just for them. From dresses to shoes to bags to accessories to jewelry, yup, women are more expressive in terms of fashion. Men compared to women have limited accessories. While women have necklaces, earrings, rings, brooches and other accessories men only have

watches and silver cufflinks.

Not all men, however, like wearing cufflinks. Cufflinks can be heavy on the sleeves and some men complain about cufflinks clanging whenever they put their hands down on the table. The other problem is when your work includes traveling a lot. Because they are made of metal, it can be detected by a metal detector which is quite annoying when you keep on being inspected. There’s also the additional problem of getting scratches and dents on such expensive cufflinks.

But cufflinks add a new dimension to a wardrobe especially in formal wear so what to do? Don’t fret and thank the guy who created silk knots. The Formal Silk Knots have the same function as cufflinks except that they are lighter on the sleeves. They come in three colors: white, black and gold which can match any formal wear.

Now you won’t have to worry about scratching expensive cufflinks. Silk knots are a great alternative to the usual cufflinks. They may not be as classy and expensive as the silver cufflinks but they still add depth and dimension to any wardrobe you chose to wear.

The Lighter Alternative to Cufflinks

When my husband got the promotion he had been after for so many years I was really pleased for him, but I was more pleased for our bank account. With great responsibility comes a great wage packets and finally after all the years of struggling we could live the dream! The first thing on my list was to join the country club. My husband didn’t really see the point of this and thought it was a waste of money but once I explained social networking (and not the kind on facebook) to him and how it would help his career progress even further, not to mention making some great friends he soon came round to the idea. Within a few weeks we had our first formal dinner and I was straight out looking for my perfect outfit to wow and amaze all these people I wasn’t allowed to socialize with before. My husband was easy enough to dress, a clean tux and he was ready, or so I thought. I had never really noticed but he didn’t like wearing cufflinks. cufflinks silk knots formal thumb 01 The Lighter Alternative to CufflinksHe said they clanged whenever he put his arm down and he was afraid of losing them. So I had to find an alternative. That’s when I saw the formal silk knots. They came in a whole array of colors and my husband found that once he put them on he forgot the silk knots were there. And with such a good price tag it meant I got to spend more on shoes!
