cufflinks armed forces apache helicopter large 01 Attack Helicopter CufflinksThe AH-64 Apache is the world’s greatest and deadliest helicopter.  Descended in part from the highly successful AH-1 Cobra, the Apache is a flying arsenal of heavy weapons and missiles designed principally to defeat the predicted advanced wave of Soviet armor pounding through the Fulda Gap from East Germany into West Germany.  With highly sophisticated targeting and acquisition systems, forward looking infrared cameras and a 30mm automatic cannon that can be tracked to the pilot’s or co-pilot’s head so that he may direct the gun precisely to what he’s looking at, and with a Hellfire anti-tank missile system that can punch through even thickest tank armor at ranges in excess of ten miles out, it’s no wonder why the Apache features prominently for major US Army operations wherever they’re needed.  The Iraqis called the aircraft “Silent Death,” because often it would strike so far away they’d never hear the sound of the helicopter until it was too late.  The Apache is also one of the most highly survivable aircraft flying, with the aircraft sustaining damages that would cripple lesser aircraft with nary a scratch on either pilot.  The Apache Helicopter Cufflinks feature this remarkable aircraft’s “Longbow” variant which features the mast-mounted fire control radar against a silver coin relief, armed with full stores of sixteen Hellfire missiles.  It is a great gift to any military enthusiast or Army aviator.  Silver cufflinks such as these would look great on the sleeve of any dress uniform or formal wear and military cufflinks are excellent collector’s items and a tribute to the brave men and women who serve and protect this nation.
