cufflinks functional black watchlarge Functional Cufflinks Consider functional cufflinks.  At first glance one might consider them a bit of a novelty, and surely that’s precisely what they are.  But what if they actually came in handy?  Naturally you might not find too many uses for bubble levels in your formal attire that you couldn’t reach for a tool-box for a real level.  And while it might be nice to keep a set of pills on your sleeve instead of a pocket to alleviate your back pain, chances are you’d keep a bottle of pain relievers on hand in ready access and out of the reach of children.  They look nice, certainly, but wouldn’t a set of nice silver cufflinks look nicer?  Yes, but maybe you’d find something that’s worth your while.  Take a set of these exquisite Black Face Watch Cufflinks.  First impressions might make you believe they’re just for show, but you’d be mistaken.  These actually work.  Simply pop a small battery in them, set the time on one for what you want and another for another time zone if you’re expecting to do business with someone far away, and you got a handy back-up in case your dress watch fails.  These cufflinks feature a nice black face and silver arms that go well with any dress watch and formal wear to keep you abreast of that most valuable of commodities, time.  Even if you don’t wear them all the time, they’re handy just to have in your desk or briefcase where you know where to find them in case your wrist watch breaks or the battery runs out.  While you might not have a whole lot of uses for other functional cufflinks, this is one set you should serious consider having on hand, just in case.

The Amazing Oregon Ducks!

cufflinks ncaa oregon large 01 The Amazing Oregon Ducks! My, oh my!  The Oregon Ducks football team is off to an amazing start.  Their opening game tied a record for the most points scored at Autzen Stadium, blowing out the University of New Mexico Lobos 0 to 72!  Week Two saw an amazing comeback on the road against the University of Tennessee Volunteers for a score of 48 to 13, quieting a hostile stadium with over a hundred thousand Volunteers fans in there.  In spite of losing last year’s excellent QB Jeremiah Masoli to scandal and Ole Miss, the Ducks look like they’re fast on the track to earning another Pac-10 Championship Trophy and another trip to the Rose Bowl, provided they stay healthy and motivated.  Autzen Stadium may be one of the loudest stadiums in the country but that doesn’t mean they need you any less to cheer on the Ducks this season, no matter how good they are.  You can still show your Ducks pride by wearing a set of Oregon Ducks Cufflinks.  These silver cufflinksfeature the distinctive and evocative University of Oregon logo that doesn’t just symbolize the football team, but every sports team the college uses to compete in almost every aspect of the sports world, from track and field to baseball.  NCAA college cufflinks are a great way to show your support for your team while maintaining a professional demeanor, and finishes your ensemble with charm and class in a way standard shirts with ordinary buttons lack.  This looks to be another great year for the Ducks and their second year head coach Chip Kelly, and you can celebrate their success in style.

A Famous Smile To Wear

cufflinks art mona lisa large 01 A Famous Smile To WearIt is a sad state of affairs indeed when you may have to explain to those who see these Mona Lisa Cufflinks on your sleeve just “who” is this Mona Lisa?  As if asking just what is so significant about this image on those silver cufflinks you’re wearing.  In the current state of education in this country where late-night talk show hosts love to show off how ignorant fresh high school and college graduates are about things such as history, science and art, be prepared to offer this explanation.  This is probably the world’s most famous painting by the great Leonardo Da Vinci, who was commissioned by the wealthy Gherardini family to do a portrait of Lisa del Giocondo in commemoration of the birth of her and her husband’s son.  The Mona Lisa was an oil painting done with Leonardo’s exquisite appreciation and attention to detail of the human form, as his fine hand manages to capture the most subtle expression of this Italian woman’s smile in a way that, to this day, many artists and critics find amazing.  It belonged to King Louis XIV, and it was hung in Napoleon’s bedroom.  It was moved from Paris during World War II during the German occupation, and now currently resides in bulletproof glass in the Louvre.  These tidbits of information, plus, perhaps, the way you carry yourself with dignity and pride in things of beauty and value may, indeed, break some of the itinerant apathy many young people have for such knowledge these days, because it’s an attitude that stems from a desire to be popular.  When you wear this famous smile and other art cufflinks, you’re bound to find someone who, though may not know what the Mona Lisa is, will appreciate the exquisite work of art anyway.

cufflinks functional capsule thermometer large Temperature Gauge Everyone wants to look good, but they also want to be useful, and it’s rare that anything does both very well, such as certain automobiles and aircraft.  Your formal apparel, for instance, looks great, but is designed to make you look great even when you’re looking ill or out of shape.  That’s the principle function of this clothing, to make you look professional, where the only advertisement you’re displaying is about you.  But you’d like to have some things on you that are there because they have function, because you’d feel more inclined to use them instead of having them just be there for decoration.  Your watch looks great, but what about your silver cufflinks?  Surely there’s something you could use there that isn’t just shiny?  There is.  For the geek in all of us there are functional cufflinks such as Capsule Thermometer Cufflinks.  These cufflinks measure the ambient temperature around the wearer to tell you exactly how hot or cold the weather is in both Fahrenheit on one sleeve and Celsius on the other, in case you can’t tell one from the other.  This makes them particularly useful when you want to know what a hundred degrees Fahrenheit looks like in a metric form, not to mention when you’d like to give out a precise reading when everyone complains about the weather being so hot or cold.  Never hurts to be a little accurate without walking past a bank’s billboard from time to time.  This can come in especially handy for wine connoisseurs who need to know what the temperature is for their cellars, to prevent them from going above 70 degrees Fahrenheit.  Useful and attractive, you’re bound to get a lot of use from these.

cufflinks nfl vikings large 01 Vikings PrideSmarting from their loss in overtime to a field goal kick to the New Orleans Saints at the 2009 NFC Championship, the Vikings are out for a little payback.  With the likes of Brett Favre refusing to retire when everyone else would like him to, it would seem, and Adrian Peterson charging down the field it looks like they may yet repeat last year’s dazzling performance, but with one critical exception – Super Bowl XLV.  Not to jinx things, but this may be the year Brett finally gets his third Super Bowl ring, which would not only mitigate any love lost to the Saints for their upset last year but would be a welcome delight for Vikings fans who have never seen a Vince Lombardi Trophy sitting in Minneapolis since the two leagues merged to become the NFL.  The last championship they won was in 1969, but that was the NFL Championship, not the Super Bowl.  So get ready this year to cheer on the Vikings throughout the season.  When you’re in your business-wear, you can continue to show your support for the Vikings with these Minnesota Vikings Cufflinks.  These silver cufflinks feature the Viking’s logo in a nice presentation that’s sure to please any Vikings fan.  NFL Cufflinks are available for every team in the league in case you happen to enjoy the blasphemy of cheering on the likes of a rival, such as Green Bay or Detroit.  Kickoff begins soon and the first game against the New Orleans Saints is a game you do not want to miss, especially without something to rub it in a Saints fan’s face they score.

Wii-Mote Control

cufflinks misc wii remote large Wii Mote Control Video games have come a long way since Pong, and a long way since the original Atari 2600 and the 4 bit screens that entertained so many in the late-70s and early 80s.  In those days, Nintendo came out with a curious game called Donkey Kong, a video game take on King Kong, where a giant ape kidnaps a girl and takes her to a construction site, and only a little plumber named Mario can save her.  Since then, Nintendo has revolutionized gaming with their numerous consoles in their effort to make games more action oriented not just for what you see on screen but what you do to make things happen on screen.  With the introduction of Nintendo’s Wii, players now have a more interactive gaming experience as they now must physically do something more than press a button.  Some games require you do things with the Wii-Mote controller in order to simulate the experience shown, such as if you’re going to box someone, you have to hold both the Wii-Mote in one hand and the Nunchuck in the other so as to be able to punch and defend against your opponent, virtual or otherwise.  You can actually break a sweat playing the Wii, and there are a number of fitness games made to take advantage of this.  It’s a unique step in a direction the other popular game consoles that might catch on. So when you’re looking for some miscellaneous cufflinks to add something fun to your wardrobe, you might consider these Wii-Mote Cufflinks.  These silver cufflinks are made in the sculpted image of the actual Wii-Mote.  They won’t do anything if you shake them or hold them in a certain way, except maybe add a certain sparkle off your sleeve.

The Torch of Liberty

cufflinks political american liberty large 01 The Torch of Liberty The Statue of Liberty is the modern Colossus, which, unlike the one that once guarded the ancient Greek city of Rhodes, shines like a beacon to all around the world who wish to be free.  Since the days when it was completed in 1886, the United States has changed considerably, grown larger and more powerful, but at the same time has drifted away from its Constitutional roots so much that recent events and legislation from Congress has sparked a grassroots movement in America known as the Tea Party Movement.  This movement seeks a restoration of principled, Constitutional government as outlined by the Founding Fathers of this country, oriented toward the values of self-reliance and rugged individualism that enshrine a human being’s individual sovereignty superior to its own government, who then cede certain powers and rights to that government out of civic duty and a trust that that government will not abuse such power.  This is why the French gave the United States the Statue of Liberty; America stood for something greater than even its own Founders could exemplify at the time, and it’s important to understand this when you display your own American Liberty Cufflinks wherever you go to show your support for the Tea Party movement and their selected candidates this November.  These round landmark cufflinks feature Lady Liberty against the backdrop of the Stars and Stripes, and will look excellent on your sleeve and will certainly attract attention to them wherever you go.  Silver cufflinks naturally add vibrant zest and class to your outfit and these symbols of American heritage and freedom will look outstanding at your next Tea Party event.  These are pivotal times we live in as a nation, and we have a choice to make.  It’s time to take a stand.

2010 Stanley Cup Champions

cufflinks nhl blackhawks large 01 2010 Stanley Cup ChampionsPatrick Kane’s timely score in Game Six of the Stanley Cup Finals against the Philadelphia Flyers marked the transition into a new era for the Chicago Blackhawks.  The last time they won the Stanley Cup was in 1961, almost fifty years ago, and that alone should let any hockey fan celebrate such an achievement, even if they’re not necessarily fans of the Windy City.  The Blackhawks are going to need it because hockey is not an easy sport to achieve the top honors in.  It’s a highly fluid and dynamic sport that’s more about time management, endurance, and concentration than just putting points on the scoreboard.  Naturally, being on top makes you a target, and everyone is going to be gunning for them in the 2011 season, most especially Philly and their fans.  When you can’t wear a Blackhawks jersey on a day to day basis to show your pride, you can at least wear these Chicago Blackhawks Cufflinks.  Featuring the distinctive logo of Sauk Chief Black Hawk, these silver cufflinks will look great on your formal wear as you maintain your team spirit.  They and other NHL Hockey cufflinks make great gifts and collector’s items too for any hockey fan, certain to dazzle as well as come in handy when a French cuff needs something to hold it together.  There’s no telling if the Blackhawks will get to the playoffs or even the finals again, but they’re going to need all the help they can get from the fans who’s faith and spirit helped get them there this year.
