How To Dress For The Corporate World Tip 2: Shine Your Shoes

Dressing up for the corporate world is not that hard, although there are some organizations that are really nitpicking with the way you dress up for work. These organizations will usually be those who deal in sales and marketing, and of course it is understandable that they want their people represented in a certain way. Advertising people tend to have a more liberal code when it comes to dressing up, but other organizations will have a stricter code when it comes to the way you dress up. Corporations do require that you follow a certain set of dress code, and this will usually entail some business suits, neckties for the boys, and cufflinks. Cufflinks can be obviously varied, you can take your preference of gold cufflinks or art cufflinks like the Mona Lisa Cufflinks. Leather shoes are the usual preferred shoes, and make sure that you shine yours all the time. Soiled shoes give a generally bad impression about you – it can make someone think that you are not one who looks after your tidiness, and this can sometimes translate to your organizational skills and capabilities. Of course, this assessment is not entirely accurate, and sometimes it may even be unfair. But bear in mind that bosses and colleagues will always look for indicators on how you perform, since you have not proven yourself yet. So, better make sure to have all your outer appearance good looking so that they won’t have anything to pick on. This will surely change as time goes by but for now you just need to be very careful.
